A single cash register would have once been regarded as the pinnacle of point-of-sale (POS) technology. A simple register is now regarded as the absolute minimum, and POS systems have become crucial to running a retail or dry cleaning operation. Users of current POS solutions may process payments and conduct daily tasks like managing employee payroll. Data may be updated in real-time from various places with cloud-based POS software, and it can even provide manual and automated end-of-day reports.
One of the biggest perks of working closely with customers as part of the Support Team at Dark, is understanding how Enlite, in combination with different external pieces (like all of the necessary hardware) and third parties (payment processors, accounting platforms) are integrated in order to provide the most seamless experience for all of the users.
Hardware is an important component of the POS experience: printers, scanners, cash drawers, scales, garment management systems, they are all part of a bigger picture. One that contemplates the whole functionality of the system. Even when these seem to be external pieces, they are all part of the whole gear, and are the elements that bring the system to be tangible. For this reason, we encourage our customers to always work with the supported brands and models, so they can make the best out of the whole experience.
Another integration that I considered the most useful to prevent human errors when it comes to money (and who wants to find errors when it comes to money?) is the Payment Integration.
Working with any of our Partners helps make the process flow to be more efficient. A credit card will be either read by a terminal or stored through Enlite with the payment processor of your choice, for a straightforward transaction.
Although Enlite POS isn’t a payment processor, it will operate in conjunction with the payment processor, and collaborate closely to get the most benefit for our customers.
To identify the functionalities and capabilities of Enlite POS that best suit your company’s needs and to streamline your full process in order to understand what elements of a whole cloud-based POS experience are best for your business, please do not hesitate to reach out to us and we’ll happily provide assistance.
